The Pedicini Family and Kenmark Office Systems have announced that they will be offering a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving Barnstable High School graduating senior. The scholarship funds will be applied towards the payment of tuition or room and board for an individual pursuing a degree in the field of business or any field related to entrepreneurship.
The applicant is invited to complete the following:
- The BHS Scholarship Application; and
- A 300-500 word essay on how they have exhibited (or plan to exhibit) the “entrepreneurial spirit” as captured by the following quote: “The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena — whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood … who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotions — and spend himself in a worthy cause — who at best if he wins, knows the thrills of high achievement — and if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly — so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.” –President John F. Kennedy quoting Theodore Roosevelt, December 5, 1961
Mr. Ken Pedicini will review the applications and invite students to n interview. The recipient will be notified of the award by April 23, 2018. Entries must be received no later than March 16, 2018.
