SouthCoast Community Foundation Announces Team Changes

The SouthCoast Community Foundation announced the hiring of Werlaine Badio as programs officer, supporting arts and culture, education and economic development initiatives, and Nhamaa Cortes as accounting clerk.

Additionally, Adrianna Heard was promoted from development systems administrator to donor services associate. Adrianna was born and raised in New Bedford and graduated in 2020 with honors from Westfield State University.

“Adrianna has quickly proven herself to be efficient, accurate, and compassionate in serving our donors and advisors. We are delighted to promote such an exemplary member of our team,”  said Director of Engagement Sarah Rose.

Badio grew up in Brockton, graduated from the UMass Dartmouth and is now living in Fall River.

“Werlaine’s background in operations management and customer service, combined with her strong connections to the communities we serve, will help us extend our reach, explore new possibilities, and track our progress,” commented Rose.

Cortes was born and raised in New Bedford and will graduate later this spring from Bridgewater State University with a degree in Accounting and Finance.

“We are excited to have Nhamaa join our finance efforts,” said Director of Finance Charles Holley. “His passion for giving back to the community, eagerness to learn and grow in this new role, as well as his upcoming degree will serve him well.”
