Barnstable, MA – Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP) – a nonprofit that works to connect, engage, and advance Cape Cod’s young workforce and future leaders – is pleased to announce the 4 th Annual Shape Your Cape Summit, a one-day conference for young professionals. The Summit will take place on April 4th from 8:30 AM to 4 PM at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel (350 Quaker Rd, North Falmouth), with on-site registration beginning at 8 AM. Tickets are available at $60 for CCYP members and $75 for Non-Members, with ticket prices increasing to $90 for all attendees on March 1. The 2019 Summit will feature interactive panel discussions and workshops aimed at personal and professional growth, community engagement, and public policy. Sessions are designed to facilitate conversation and action on issues that matter most to young and established workers alike. A total of three all-conference sessions and nine educational sessions will be offered throughout the day, including a workshop on “Critical Career Conversations,” a panel discussion on the state of entrepreneurship on Cape Cod, and a Housing Advocacy Training offered in partnership with local nonprofits, the Community Development Partnership (CDP) and Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC). The Keynote Speaker for the 2019 Shape Your Cape Summit is Roy Heffernan, owner and former Chief Operating “Optimist” (COO) of the iconic “Life is Good” brand. In his Keynote Speech, titled “Embracing the Power of Optimism,” Roy will share lessons learned from his professional journey and provide insight on the unique, integrated for-profit/philanthropic model he helped implement at Life as Good. His speech will leave attendees feeling inspired to embrace optimism and the entrepreneurial spirit in order to cultivate success in work, do good for the community, and effect positive change.
New this year, CCYP is excited offer special attendee and exhibitor benefits for the Shape Your Cape Summit as part of CCYP’s partnership with the Town of Falmouth. Falmouth residents may take advantage of a limited number of complimentary tickets, and Falmouth-based businesses have the opportunity to receive complimentary business exhibitor space for the event.
