Know what is expected of you by your employer every day when working from home. Set a schedule and stick to it.
- Start early in the day and try to get your most important jobs done before lunch.
- Take the appropriate breaks so that you don’t burn out. Communicate with your employer when you plan to shut down for the day so that you are not answering texts and emails into the evening hours.
- Set your “Do Not Disturb” on your laptop and/or phone before dinner and enjoy some time with your family. You will be a better worker overall by separating work and personal time!
