Housing Assistance to Hold Info Session for Three One-Bedroom Apartments in Harwich
New homes in Harwich will be available through a lottery for qualified applicants.
Housing Assistance invites potential residents to a virtual info session for three new apartments in Hyannis on Monday, October 19 at 6:00 p.m. Those interested can register for the info session, which will be held on Zoom, at haconcapecod.org/properties/bank-street-firehouse.
The brand new one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments are located at the Old Firehouse on Bank Street in Harwich. The building houses 3 affordable housing apartments on the second floor, a function / event space on the first floor, as well as a small area dedicated to memorializing the history of the Harwich Fire Department.
Housing Assistance is overseeing the lottery selection process. The apartments will rent for $1,889 monthly (not including utilities) to eligible applicants whose income does not exceed 80% of Area Median Income (AMI) for Barnstable County. Income limits do not apply to voucher or subsidy holders. 1-person: $79,100; 2-persons: $90,400.
Applications for the lottery can be found online at haconcapecod.org/properties/bank-street-firehouse. Printed copies are available at Housing Assistance’s offices in Hyannis, Cataumet, and Orleans.
The deadline to apply is Friday, November 20, at 5 p.m. The lottery drawing will be held within 30 days of the application deadline.
