Road to Responsibility to Celebrate 38h Annual Gala on October 8th with Record Sponsorship Momentum

MARSHFIELD, MA, ISSUED SEPTEMBER 28, 2026… Road to Responsibility (RTR; http://roadtoresponsibility.org), one of the region’s largest and most successful nonprofit organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will host its 38th Annual Making Lives Better Gala on Thursday, October 8th from 6 to 9 p.m. at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy.

While ticket sales are now closed, sponsorship opportunities remain available for the annual evening of celebration, connection, and impact in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As in year’s past, the event will feature a cocktail reception, formal dinner, live and silent auction, and entertainment.  Powerful mission storytelling will take center stage, celebrating the transformative effect RTR has had on individuals for nearly four decades.

An unprecedented number of businesses, organizations, and individuals have already committed as gala sponsors and supporters, currently bringing sponsorship totals to a record-high of $330,000. Additional sponsorship opportunities remain available as RTR works to surpass last year’s $550,000 milestone.

Proceeds from the Making Lives Better Gala will help increase residential and independent living opportunities, expand employment and workforce development programs, enhance community-based services, and provide innovative tools and resources that enhance quality of life.

Celebrating more than 38 years of making lives better, Road to Responsibility, Inc. (RTR) was established in 1988 with the overarching belief that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve to have full, rich, and rewarding lives in the community, and therefore works to provide the means, the opportunity, and the support necessary to allow citizens with disabilities to take their place as productive members of the community. RTR offers residential, work/employment, day habilitation and other day supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. RTR supports individuals with very diverse needs, including those with significant challenges who would otherwise go unserved if not for RTR. It succeeds where other organizations often fail, through the use of an integrated clinical behavioral approach. This model has proven successful and yielded positive results for the organization and the individuals served.

Road to Responsibility offers services to almost all the towns and communities throughout the South Shore and South Coast of Massachusetts, operates 49 residences as well as co-operative and supportive living apartments, and manages nine day-service locations that focus on education, employment, and community enrichment.
