Mashpee Chamber of Commerce Presents La Tavola: 20th Annual Italian Feast Under the Stars

One of the town’s biggest fundraisers returns Friday, August 7, 2026, a big family meal that celebrates Mashpee, where all are welcome at the table.

MASHPEE, Mass. The Mashpee Chamber of Commerce invites the community to La Tavola, its signature Italian Feast Under the Stars, presented by Cape & Coast Bank and celebrating its 20th anniversary on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Christ the King Parish, 5 Job’s Fishing Rd, Mashpee. For one night, the grounds become an open-air “Little Italy,” welcoming roughly 400 guests to long communal tables beneath the summer sky.

Guests enjoy a five-course dinner, with each ticket including a complimentary beer or wine and espressos, cappuccinos, and post-dinner coffee from Press Ahead. As the evening unfolds, the air fills with music: live serenades by acclaimed Italian tenor Aaron Caruso, alongside award-winning accordionist Corey Pesaturo and student performers from the Steeple Street Music Academy.

More than anything, La Tavola is an all-hands-on-deck community event where the whole town pitches in. Ashley Irene transforms the grounds with her decorating, Donna brings the Magic Mirror photo booth, and Helene from Mermaids and Dragonflies captures every moment so guests can simply live in it. Carlson A/V keeps every note and toast sounding great, while Stop & Shop bakes the bread and Pete from Naukabout donates the beer. Dino is back behind the bar, Matt Lombardo’s family cooks and works the tables, John Cotton does splits between the courses, and Chris Ball, Mashpee’s Citizen of the Year, covers it all for Mashpee TV. Laurentide buses in residents, and Christ the King Parish opens its grounds and pantry so the Chamber can prep this 400-person feast.

“La Tavola is our whole town sitting down to one big family meal, and everyone is welcome at the table,” said Stephanie Viva, Executive Director of the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce. “Twenty years in, it’s still our favorite night of the summer, and one of our most important fundraisers. It only happens because everyone pitches in.”

As one of the Chamber’s biggest fundraisers of the year, La Tavola supports the shop-local initiatives and the beloved Rotary holiday lights that brighten Mashpee each winter, turning a night of good food and company into a lasting investment in the town’s small businesses and community spirit. As the sun sets and lights twinkle along the length of the table, La Tavola becomes more than a dinner. It becomes a celebration of community, connection, and tradition.
