Probably shouldn't say Thursday, because this will Air later. 14 Tell us you have so much experience helping folks like myself who need 15 help speaking and whether in public or in private. 16 Like this, what are some things that you've learned in your career, like 17 maybe things that lots of people think about or have had problems with 18 like recurring things like a tip or something that you could give our 19 audience something to get an idea about the article that you've 20 written for us. Sure, so I've been on the radio for 16 years so i learned a lot, and then I started my own business when COVID hit just 21 figured Back-up Plan would be a good idea. 22 So I teach a lot of this stuff in my coaching with public speaking or 23 even radio talent coaching or really anyone that wants to just like 24 you said, you know improve on their skills or feel more comfortable 25 and a couple of things right off the top of my head that I can suggest 26 is you want to appear. 27 Obviously comfortable and relaxed and everything like that something 28 to remember to get yourself to that place is that the other people 29 you're in this meeting with or talking to you in person or whatever 30 whoever is involved. 31 They are not thinking about you as much as you're thinking about you 32 They're thinking about them. 33 Yeah, and that's a huge relief when people realize that and I think it 34 is something that people realize on maybe like a subconscious level 35 like they know that intellectually, but when you really think about it 36 and you're like, oh my God, they're not thinking about me. 37 They're not wondering why my hair looks like this or whatever you're 38 thinking that about you but no one else was really thinking about you 39 as much as you are and that kind of goes for everything in life. 40 Like a lot of people worry so much about what other people think and 41 most of us are just so focused on what's going on with ourselves that 42 we're not focused on what other people are thinking. 43 And even if somebody is thinking something, who cares, they will never 44 know. 45 Exactly. I don't want to know. 46 I have a question for you. What would you recommend to someone who the moment the camera 47 starts rolling they're eye starts watering or they have an uncontrollable itch. I feel like that happens to me every time speaking somebody. 48 Okay. 49 So if you have an itch I would say scratch your itch because you're 50 human being I have an itch right here actually right now and I'm a 51 normal person just like everybody else and we get itchy we get watery 52 you can it's okay to be human. 53 Basically, I think is my advice. 54 All right, great. 55 Well, it's a great article really looking forward to seeing it 56 published and if you're watching this still be a link to it. 57 I really encourage you to read it, Loren, 58 Thank you very much for for appearing with us today and happy.

Script: "We are here today with the pros at Complete Payroll Solutions talking about all things payroll HR and benefits so Julia we're going to start with you today. What do you have for us? Well, I have good news. The minimum wage in Massachusetts is increased $0.75 to $13.50 per hour shift employees are also now are at $5.55 per hour, so with tips wages. I just want to make sure the employees do understand that when you combine tips along with the $5.55 minimum wage. It needs to come on to the $13.50 or the employer does need to make up the difference. That's been the big question during these Covid times. Great, very very useful tip. Thank you, Stephanie, what do you have for us today? It's a New Year, I would have you and your employees check your value-added benefits in the health plan. Some great benefits are gym reimbursement. Have you been paying for a gym and not going you can now get reimbursed for up to three months or up to $150 and some plan carriers like Blue Cross has a healthy Action Program where if you get your physical and blood work, you can get a $300 gift card. So check your plans today to see what you see some value-added benefits that are included some plans offer an EAP and employee assistance program. So if your employees need help managing stress depression, anxiety they do have people to call. You have nurse warm lines if you had a baby can call in if you need any help, there's weight loss program, smoking sensation programs that is all included in your health plans. So check it out and see what's available if you need anything like that. You just listed a whole bunch of things. I never thought I was for sure. Thank you. Call your HR department and Karyn what do you have for us today? So on my mind, today is the Mass Paid Family Medical Leave. So employees could start applying the first of the year. There's been a lot of confusion people are confusing the federal FMLA with the mass FMLA and also the Paternity Leave Policy Massachusetts to these benefits, laws all stack on top of each other. So you have to weave your way carefully through each one of these laws. The new Mass PMFL has up to 12 weeks for bonding leaves. If you have a baby you can get up to 12 weeks of leave a doctor could always extend that if there's a medical situation to 20, that's up to the doctor. You can now take medical leave for your own personal lives up to 20 weeks a year. The military folks out there. The extended leave is 26 weeks so you can take a maximum of 26 weeks. Now keep in mind that for family members. If you have a family member that is ill or that you need to care for them that starts July 1st, and that would be up to 12 weeks. The maximum amount of time you can take each year is 26 weeks. So just wanted to keep that in mind again. If you're having maternity situations, you do want to look at the Mass Parental Leave Law, that plays on top of this and of course, you would run the federal FMLA if you're over 50 employees right now along with both of those other leaves. Wow from a marketing guy. That's a lot of numbers of I could say. We're very happy and lucky to have professionals like you around keeping your eye out for us, and I want to thank you until next month Complete Payroll.
