HYANNIS, Mass. (January 15, 2025) – The Cape Cod Baseball League (Cape League) has announced its 2025 schedule, which will begin with a full slate of games on Saturday, June 14.
Teams will each play a 40-game regular season schedule. Divisional opponents will face each other five times, while cross-divisional opponents will face each other four times.
Each Cape League team will host their first home game during the opening weekend, a home game on either July 3 or July 4, and at least one home game in August. Spanning eight weeks, the balanced 2025 schedule will provide fans opportunities to watch their favorite team, comprised of current collegiate baseball stars and future professional standouts, throughout the summer.
“With just 150 days until Opening Day, we are delighted to unveil the 2025 schedule,” said John Castleberry, Commissioner of the Cape League. “It promises to be another exciting season, featuring the incredible talent that makes the Cape Cod Baseball League the premier summer collegiate league in the nation.”
The Opening Day games on June 14 will be highlighted by a rematch of last year’s Cape League Championship Finals, as the defending champion Harwich Mariners host the Bourne Braves.
The annual Cape League All-Star Game will be held on Saturday, July 19 at Red Wilson Field, home of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. This will be the fourth time the Y-D Red Sox have hosted the Cape League’s mid-season classic and the first time since 2013. More details about the game, ticket sales and all associated events will be announced at a later date.
The 2025 Cape League playoff format will feature three rounds of best-of-three series with the top four teams in each division will qualify for the postseason. The playoffs are scheduled to begin Tuesday, August 5, and conclude by Wednesday, August 13.
