The Seaside Le Mans – The Race for the Cape Cod Community, features teams of sponsors driving Formula One-style karts during an endurance race on an outdoor track at Mashpee Commons to determine the winner.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Mashpee Commons.
The entire cost to operate the race is covered by The Davenport Companies, which allows every dollar raised through sponsorships to benefit the five non-profit groups receiving funding.
“Since the inception of the race, we’ve strived to fund organizations that are making a difference in the lives of Cape Cod residents on a regular basis. This year’s beneficiaries are uniquely positioned to do exactly that,” said DeWitt Davenport, CEO of the Davenport Companies, and founder of the race.
Working with The Cape Cod Foundation, all race donations and sponsorships are sent directly to the designated beneficiaries. What makes this yearly event so impactful is that every single dollar raised goes directly to the charities.
“Our Charitable Giving Committee has again chosen a diverse group of non-profits that are impacting the Cape Cod community across a broad spectrum, ranging from families struggling with substance abuse to our hero veterans dealing with mental and behavioral needs. This year’s funding will also address childhood hunger on Cape Cod, expand access to the performing arts, and provide critical help in the fight against cancer,” said Davenport.
The event is free to spectators and features food, music, and entertainment for the whole family.
