March 25, 2025 (Cape Cod, MA) – The Cape Cod Technology Council will welcome critical infrastructure pioneer Alex Gamota of Cambridge, to its next First Friday talk on April 4th at Cape Cod Community College.
The Co-founder and CEO of 3PO Networks, Gamota has over 30 years of U.S. and international experience in critical infrastructure and will focus on ways his company is supporting real estate projects in addressing their wastewater and broadband needs.

“3PO’s goal is to partner in a way that unlocks real estate development projects that have stalled due insufficient wastewater treatment capacity by taking a page from other successful third-party owner-operator infrastructure models,” he said. “People who are interested in housing, in particular workforce housing, should attend because we’re using an innovative approach, not only from a long-term operational perspective, but also incorporating best-in-class technical solutions where appropriate.”
3PO, which was formed in January 2023, is currently working on projects around the country, combining “tried and true ways of approaching wastewater and adding in a layer of broadband, focused on housing, and doing it in an environmentally and fiscally responsible way that also bridges the digital divide,” Gamota said.
“Our April talk is timely, especially as the Cape struggles with a lack of affordable and attainable housing and with wastewater such a critical issue that many towns are grappling with today,” said Tech Council Executive Director Michael White. “We’re excited to welcome Alex to talk about ways his company is approaching these issues while adding in the critical component of broadband to these housing projects.”
Over the course of his career, Gamota has achieved results for critical infrastructure businesses in executive, ownership, consulting, and board roles, leading to over $4 billion in value. He has a broad background in wireless communications, traditional utilities, infrastructure financing, deployment, and operations.
He has had prior roles with American Tower, Bigbelly, Lightower, SpectraSite, Transco, PRTM, and the MWRA. He is a frequent panelist at industry events and is a contributor to trade regulatory activities.
He is a longtime volunteer on local community issues, academic mentoring, and Ukraine. He serves as the president and co-founder of Bear Witness and an advisor for the Center for Civil Liberties.
Gamota received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and earned his master’s degree in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
