HYANNIS, MA – October 30, 2024 – The Naked Oyster, a renowned farm-to-table restaurant on Main Street in Hyannis, is excited to announce a special Wild Sockeye Salmon Discovery Dinner on November 7 at 6:30 PM. This exclusive culinary event will celebrate the vibrant flavors of Bristol Bay’s wild sockeye salmon, guided by guest speaker Caitlin Townsend, a third-generation commercial fisherman and passionate advocate for sustainable fisheries.
Guests will enjoy a four-course discovery dinner featuring innovative dishes crafted from fresh, wild sockeye salmon handpicked by Caitlin herself. Fishing in the pristine waters of Bristol Bay, Alaska, Caitlin and Captain Jessica, of the F/V Leila M, hand-select each salmon to ensure the finest quality, bringing a taste of Alaska to Cape Cod.
The event’s menu highlights the versatility and rich flavor of sockeye salmon, starting with a Duo of Sockeye Salmon—house-cured and applewood smoked salmon with pickled red onion and horseradish crème fraîche, alongside a tartar of salmon with cornichons, shallots, and house focaccia. The appetizer, Salmon Wellington, wraps fresh salmon and spinach stuffing in puff pastry, topped with a salmon caviar vinaigrette. The entrée, Cedar Plank Wild Salmon, is delicately roasted with shishito peppers, cannellini beans, and candied cherry tomatoes, with basil pesto. A refreshing Citrus Panna Cotta topped with thyme-candied pecan crunch completes this unforgettable dining experience.
