Cape Cod Academy Announces Four New Members to Its Board of Trustees

November 13, 2024…Osterville, MA… Cape Cod Academy (CCA), , the only independent, co-educational, college preparatory school serving students from kindergarten to grade 12 on Cape Cod, announces that four new board members have been appointed to the school’s Board of Trustees. The new members include Lea Mallegni-De Oliveira, Jill Lauf, Carter Pemberton, and Chris Motta-Wurst.

 

Lea Mallegni DeOliveira

 

 

Lea Mallegni-De Oliveira is an owner of LeaMar Industries, a family owned and operated manufacturer and importer of natural stone products. She works with quarries and companies around the world to hand select and import natural stone slabs, tiles, and precious stones. As a member of the Natural Stone Institute of America, Mrs. Mallegni-De Oliveira is a leader in the stone industry and a member of Women in Stone. She is also a member of Cape Cod Young Professionals. She is a graduate of Fay School, Worcester Academy, and Wheaton College, where she earned a BA in psychology and education. Mrs. Mallegni-De Oliveira and her husband have two children. Their daughter is a second grader at Cape Cod Academy.

 

Jill Lauf

 

Jill Lauf, a physician assistant, graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. degree in zoology and chemistry pre-medicine and earned a masters in physician assistant sciences from Saint Francis University. She began her career as an emergency room technician at Summa Health Systems, Emergency/Trauma Center and later served as a physician assistant in internal medicine for Dr. George Pueblitz in PA and then for the Holsten Medical Group in TN. Prior to her current role as a personal stylist for Details and Goods, Mrs. Lauf was a physician assistant at Robke Internal Medicine. She is currently involved with many local organizations, including Cape Kids Meals and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She was also a member of Cape Cod Academy’s Head’s Advisory Council and served as President of  the Sandwich Montessori Education and Assistance Fund. She and her husband have two sons attending Cape Cod Academy’s upper school.

 

Chris Motto Wurst

Cape Cod Academy alumnus, Chris Motta-Wurst ‘04, is an attorney and shareholder at Lane Powell PC, where he advises employers and individuals on a wide variety of immigration-related issues. Mr. Motta-Wurst earned a B.A. in economics and history from St. Lawrence University and a J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He is also a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (Pathfinder, 2021).

Carter Pemberton

Cape Cod Academy alumnus Carter Pemberton ’16 is one of many in his family to have attended Cape Cod Academy. After graduating from CCA, he attended Connecticut College where he earned a B.A. in computer science and sailed competitively for the college. Currently, Mr. Pemberton works remotely as a product manager for Cars Commerce where he is responsible for implementing operations support processes to optimize product performance and prioritize customer value. Prior to this role, Mr. Pemberton was a product associate for Cars Commerce where he worked closely with all sides of the business as an advocate for positive customer experiences.
