Latham Centers Announces New Leadership of Board of Directors

BREWSTER, MA — Latham Centers, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization serving individuals with disabilities is proud to announce new leadership within its Board of Directors. Effective July 1, 2025, Matt McCleery has been appointed Chair of the Board, and Jane Blum has been named Vice Chair.

McCleery, a dedicated Latham parent and passionate advocate, has served on the Board with distinction and brings both personal insight and professional expertise to his new role. “Having a child in the program,  I know firsthand how life changing Latham Centers is for people with Prader-Willi syndrome and their families,” McCleery said.  “This work cannot be done alone. I’m excited to collaborate with the board, families, donors, and all stakeholders to continue improving the lives of people with PWS and their families, while supporting Latham’s incredible staff.”

“We are thrilled to announce Matt McCleery as our incoming Latham Centers Board Chair,” said Gerry Pouliot, President and CEO of Latham Centers. “Matt, along with the entire McCleery family, has shown remarkable dedication to improving the lives of individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome. Over the past eleven years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing Matt’s passion, leadership, and commitment firsthand. His vision and energy will inspire meaningful growth and positive change in our Latham Centers community.”

Blum, Latham’s former Director of Nursing, brings a unique and invaluable perspective to the role of Vice Chair. Her decades of leadership in nursing, deep understanding of the individuals served, and continued dedication to the Latham community make her great for this position.

In addition to these appointments, Anne Gilmore has been named Clerk, and Carrie Austin has been appointed Assistant Clerk, expanding the Executive Committee and strengthening the Board’s leadership team. Jack Kelly will continue in his integral role as Treasurer.

Latham also extends its gratitude to Dr. Christine Thomas, who has completed her term as Board Chair and will remain a valued member of the Executive Committee. Her leadership has been instrumental in guiding the organization through key milestones.

The Latham Centers Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding the organization’s mission to create opportunities for independence, self-worth, and happiness. The newly appointed officers reflect the strength and diversity of leadership behind Latham’s continued success.
