August 21, 2025 (Cape Cod, MA) OpenCape, a leading provider of high-speed internet and digital connectivity solutions, announced that Steve Johnston, Executive Director, has departed the company effective August 20, 2025.
During his tenure, Johnston guided OpenCape’s growth from its early days, strengthening the company’s position as a trusted provider of reliable internet services for businesses, nonprofits, municipalities, and main streets across Cape Cod, Southeastern Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
Under his leadership, the organization expanded in revenue, customer base, and workforce to reach its current scale.
The Board of Directors has initiated a search for a new Executive Director. In the meantime, Rob Bateman, CFO, will serve as Interim Executive Director. He will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring organizational stability, a smooth leadership transition, and continued focus on delivering exceptional service to OpenCape customers.
