A Morning of Connection, Recognition, and Inspiration
HARWICH PORT, MA — On Friday, October 3, 2025, WE CAN welcomed more than 200 attendees to its Annual Community Breakfast at The Sea View in Dennis Port. The event brought together WE CAN participants, volunteers, donors, and community partners to celebrate the collective impact of their work across Cape Cod.
Each year, WE CAN honors outstanding contributors whose dedication strengthens the organization’s mission. Honorees for this year included:
● Distinguished Volunteer: Ruth Anderson-Zabre, a WE CAN volunteer since 2015
● Exceptional Community Partner: Jean-Claude Butter of Canaan SDA Church Cape Cod, a dedicated community leader and WE CAN collaborator
● Celebrated Supporters: Sandy Wycoff & Jeff Lang, true ambassadors whose generosity has lifted WE CAN’s mission for more than a decade.
Executive Director Lisa Guyon thanked the WE CAN Community for their dedication and announced that 2026 marks WE CAN’s 25th Anniversary, with a year full of special celebrations and activities planned. In honor of this milestone, Guyon unveiled a new theme for the organization: “WE CAN — Where Women Thrive.”
“As we celebrate 25 years, we’re reminded that while WE CAN provides the community and resources, it’s the women themselves who do the hard work. Where Women Thrive honors their courage, resilience, and strength as they move forward in their lives and in our community,” Guyon stated.
With a small but mighty staff, WE CAN relies on over 300 dedicated volunteers and the generosity of local donors, businesses, and foundations to make its programs possible. The annual Community Breakfast remains a cornerstone event for WE CAN, celebrating resilience, connection, and the power of women supporting women.
