Plymouth Center for the Arts to Reveal New “Secret” Sculpture Garden at Garden Party Fundraiser, June 20

PLYMOUTH, MA, ISSUED JUNE 15, 2026…Plymouth Center for the Arts (PCA), a historic gallery and venue for visual and performing arts in downtown Plymouth, is celebrating the official launch of their new Sculpture Garden at a Garden Party Fundraiser, to be held Saturday, June 20, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Plymouth Center for the Arts, 11 North Street, Plymouth.

The Sculpture Garden is the latest addition to the Arts Center, and adds a peaceful, artistically pleasing green space in the heart of downtown Plymouth.

Plans for the Sculpture Garden began in 2023 with a vision to create a welcoming public space where residents and visitors alike could gather, reflect, and enjoy the arts as well as an event rental space to generate much needed revenue to support the Center. An anonymous donor provided the seed funding that helped bring the project to life, inspiring significant support from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism and the Town of Plymouth Promotions Fund. Numerous individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners also contributed to making the garden a reality.

Spearheaded by volunteers Kathy Dunn and Andrew Kusmin, the project was conceived not only as a beautiful outdoor gathering place, but also as a venue for a seasonal sculpture exhibition. That vision came to fruition on June 11 with the unveiling of the Inaugural Sculpture Exhibition, featuring 12 works by sculptors from across the region.

The evening festivities for the Garden Party Fundraiser include food provided by The Chef’s Table and a raw bar generously donated by Island Creek Oysters.  Live music by The Ed Lucie Jazz Trio will enhance the garden atmosphere, and artwork is available for sale.  Additionally, two vacation packages will be auctioned during the event:  one to the glittering Greek Isles (five nights, all-inclusive, two people); and one to a picturesque Tuscan Villa (seven nights, six people/three beds).

Funds raised during the event will support exhibitions, education programs, and ongoing operations.

“Years of vision, problem-solving, and hard work have gone into creating a beautiful new green space in the heart of downtown Plymouth,” said Kim Corben, executive director of Plymouth Center for the Arts.  “It feels a bit to us like a ‘secret garden,’ but we’re hoping after this event the secret will be revealed, and we can begin to welcome visitors from near and far to this magical space!
“We’re so grateful for everyone’s support of the Plymouth Center for the Arts, and look forward to a wonderful evening!”  Corben continued.

Tickets for the Garden Party Fundraiser are $100; for more information or for tickets, please visit The Secret Garden Revealed | Sculpture Garden Party | Plymouth Center for the Arts.
