Outer Cape Health Services to Receive $60,000 Gift from A.I.M. Thrift Shop

August 10 Presentation in Wellfleet Marks 60 Years of Community Commitment to Health Care on the Outer Cape

Harwich Port, Mass., July 30, 2026 – Outer Cape Health Services (OCHS), a federally qualified community health center serving the outermost towns of Cape Cod, will receive a $60,000 gift from the A.I.M. Thrift Shop during the organization’s Volunteer Appreciation event on Monday, Aug. 10, at the Chequessett Club in Wellfleet.

The presentation marks A.I.M.’s 60th anniversary and recognizes the organization’s longstanding commitment to strengthening healthcare and other essential community services on the Outer Cape. A second contribution from A.I.M. to OCHS is planned for November.

Founded in 1966, the Association to Improve Medical Resources on the Outer Cape (A.I.M.) established the A.I.M. Thrift Shop to support healthcare and other nonprofit organizations serving the region. Operated entirely by volunteers, the year-round thrift shop uses proceeds from sales to support organizations that provide healthcare, food, housing and other essential services to Outer Cape residents.

Outer Cape Health Services continues working every day to meet the needs of patients across the Outer Cape, and A.I.M. is honored to support that work.”

A.I.M. Thrift Shop has provided $887,775 in lifetime support to Outer Cape Health Services, making A.I.M. one of OCHS’s largest community supporters.

Support from community partners such as A.I.M. comes at an important time as OCHS continues strengthening its long-term sustainability through operational efficiencies, expanded access options for patients including telehealth services, and an enhanced team-based care model designed to meet the growing demand for primary care and supportive social services across the Outer Cape.

The A.I.M. Volunteer Appreciation event will be held Monday, Aug. 10, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Chequessett Club, 680 Chequessett Neck Road, Wellfleet. The event will recognize the volunteers whose dedication has sustained A.I.M.’s mission for six decades while celebrating the organization’s continuing investment in the health and well-being of the Outer Cape community.
