(SOUTH YARMOUTH, MA) – Blue Rock Golf Course in South Yarmouth, MA is excited to once again team up with the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center for the 20th Annual Turkey Shoot-Out and Food Pantry Drive on Saturday November 22nd.
Proceeds from the annual fundraiser this year will go to the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center’s Food Pantry and their efforts to provide critically needed food for veterans and their families across Cape Cod.
The Blue Rock Golf Course Turkey Shoot is a favorite fall golf event on Cape Cod, attracting as many as 150 golfers, with a portion of their entry fees donated to the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center. And many of the golfers who play in the event will win turkeys through closest-to-the-pin contests. Several winners often donate their turkey back to the cause.
Not a golfer but still want to help?
The public is invited to drop off canned goods, non-perishable food items and grocery store gift cards to the Pro Shop at 48 Todd Rd. in South Yarmouth from now through November 22nd.
“We are honored to again be partnering with the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center for our yearly charity golf event. They have direct impact on the lives of veterans and their families here on Cape Cod each day – all of whom have selflessly served our nation in the Armed Forces,” said Blue Rock PGA Professional Nick Wiseman.
Registration is $95 per player ($65 for current members). Carts are available for an additional fee. More information is available at Blue Rock Golf Course at 48 Todd Road in South Yarmouth or by calling 508-398-9295. You can register for the Turkey Shoot by clicking here.
