Honor coincides with launch of bank rebrand, upcoming retirement
HYANNIS, Mass., October 6, 2025 — Cape & Coast Bank, formerly The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, is proud to announce that Lisa Oliver, Chair, President and CEO, has been named to the 2025 Most Powerful Women in Banking Women to Watch list, presented annually by American Banker.
Oliver, a Most Powerful Women to Watch honoree for the third consecutive year, is retiring in October after a trailblazing 30-year career in the banking industry and was ranked number two on this year’s prestigious list.
“I am humbled and honored to be among the talented and accomplished women recognized on this year’s list,” said Oliver. “I couldn’t think of a greater capstone my career.”
Now in its 23rd year, the Most Powerful Women in Banking™ honors women across the banking and finance industry who are leading transformation within their organizations and shaping the future of the financial services sector. The Women to Watch list specifically recognizes rising executive leaders who are on a significant upward trajectory in their careers — combining bold leadership with measurable business results.
“These leaders have the ability to balance ‘big picture’ thinking with operational discipline,” said Holly Sraeel, Founder of The Most Powerful Women in Banking™ and SVP of Strategy and Content, American Banker Live Media. “The key to their success is that they anticipate market shifts, prepare for regulatory changes and adapt to technology trends.”
Oliver and her fellow honorees will be celebrated at The Most Powerful Women in Banking Conference and Gala, taking place October 22-24, 2025, in New York City. The multi-day event convenes top executives and rising stars across financial services for leadership development, peer learning, and recognition.
