April 15, 2025 – Cape Cod, MA — The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce convened more than fifty wedding vendors and small businesses for a half-day of panel discussions, networking, and insights at the second annual Cape Cod Small Business Pro Talk. Held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Red Jacket Resort in South Yarmouth, the event was designed to support professionals working in Cape Cod’s wedding industry, which generated more than $51 million in revenue in 2024 (source: The Wedding Report, Inc.).
Organized by the Cape Cod Chamber’s all-volunteer Wedding Committee, the Small Business Pro Talk event featured three panel discussions:
- Charting Your Course – a deep dive into business planning, human resources, and navigating growth, moderated by Briana Silvio (Owner, Elevated Impressions), with expert panelists Lauren Barker (Cape Cod Chamber) and Kiersten Peterson (RogersGray).
- Harboring Success – a conversation focused on branding, storytelling, and business identity, moderated by Meaghan DiDato (Marketing Manager, Red Jacket Resorts) with expert panelists Capeology, Jeri Solomon (Jeri Solomon Consulting), and Alex Foley (The Cape Social).
- Unveiled: The Couple’s Perspective – a lively and honest look at the wedding planning journey through the eyes of real Cape Cod brides, moderated by Kristina Kliment (Owner, Botanique).
The event also covered the growing impact of Cape Cod’s wedding vendors and small businesses. According to The Wedding Report, Inc., nearly 1,500 weddings were hosted in the region in 2024, with an average per wedding spend of $44,592. Approximately 90% of couples traveled to the region for their weddings, underscoring the important connection between the wedding industry and tourism promotion. “The wedding industry is a critical part of Cape Cod’s regional economy, and one of the key sectors positioned for growth in the coming years,” said Paul Niedzwiecki, CEO of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. “We’re excited to support the tremendous energy and potential of the small businesses working to shape the future of weddings in our region.”
The Small Business Pro Talk event was made possible with the support of many vendors and partners, including Red Jacket Resorts, Cape Cod Celebrations, Elevated Impressions, Botanique, Alex Gordias Photography, Cape Cod Nail Co., Michelle’s Hair & Beauty Bridal, Side Door Bagels, DJ Danny Walsh, Foraged Floral, and Scorton Creek Media, among others.
