National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day will be held on Sunday, December 7th, at 11 AM at the Veterans Park Flagpole at Smugglers Beach at Bass River, which is in Yarmouth, MA. On December 7, people will gather to honor the victims of the attack, including veterans, Pearl Harbor survivors, and visitors. 2,403 Americans died in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The attack destroyed 188 aircraft, crippled or destroyed 19 U.S. ships, and sank the USS Arizona and USS Utah battleships.
Wreaths Across America will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13th at 10:30 AM at Chandler Gray Cemetery on 161 Old Mill Way in West Yarmouth, MA. Wreaths Across America remembers and honors our Veterans through the laying of Remembrance Wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and with the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud. REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend both events.

It was founded in 1983 by a group of Vietnam Veterans who did not find the services and programs they needed to transition back to their communities anywhere in our region successfully.
