YARMOUTH PORT, MA — Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod celebrates Earth Day every day by building affordable homes with local families and supporting sustainability through its donation programs.
Habitat Cape Cod’s ReStores, located in Falmouth and South Yarmouth, accept new and gently used furniture, appliances, cabinetry, and building materials. The organization’s fully insured Deconstruction Team salvages reusable items from homes across the Cape, aligning with homeowners’ renovation schedules. Donors receive tax deductions while helping divert materials from landfills. Learn more or schedule a donation at restorecapecod.org/restore-donation or call 508-394-6400.
The Cars for Homes program accepts vehicles, including non-running cars, trucks, RVs, and boats. To donate, call 1-877-277-4344 or visit habitatcapecod.org/cars-for-homes, and specify Habitat Cape Cod as the beneficiary.
Proceeds support Habitat Cape Cod’s mission to build energy-efficient, permanently affordable homes. Applications for upcoming affordable homeownership opportunities in Brewster and Falmouth will be available in late spring.
Habitat Cape Cod has completed nearly 200 homes from Bourne to Provincetown and is actively building in several towns across the Cape. Qualified families are selected by lottery and help build their homes alongside volunteers before purchasing with an affordable mortgage. To support Habitat’s local efforts, visit habitatcapecod.org or mail donations to 411 Main Street, Suite 6, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675.
