Falmouth, MA – The Falmouth Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its new affiliation with the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, a strategic step designed to strengthen collaboration, improve local business success, and enhance the quality of life for Cape Cod residents. Both the Falmouth Chamber and Cape Cod Chamber Boards of Directors voted unanimously to proceed with this affiliate partnership. The move was approved through a membership vote at the Falmouth Chamber’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 8. The affiliation will take effect July 1, 2025.

A Unified Approach

The partnership between the Falmouth Chamber and the Cape Cod Chamber reflects the shared vision of both organizations to promote a sustainable, year-round economy on Cape Cod and ensure the long-term viability of the region’s businesses and communities. As an affiliate of the Cape Cod Chamber, Falmouth Chamber members and the broader Falmouth community will benefit from additional resources, operational efficiencies, and expanded opportunities.  Through this partnership, the Falmouth Chamber will retain its name, local leadership, and signature community events, including Holidays by the Sea Weekend. An advisory committee based in Falmouth will ensure that local voices continue to guide programs and initiatives that directly impact the community.

The Falmouth and Cape Cod Chambers have worked diligently to ensure this transition is seamless for members, with no change in membership dues for either organization’s membership. Falmouth Chamber members will automatically become members of the Cape Cod Chamber and gain access to additional resources including:

  • Representation on key regional issues like replacement of the Cape Cod Bridges, housing, and economic development.
  • Increased business visibility through expanded marketing and referral opportunities.
  • Access to educational programs and networking events to foster stronger connections across Cape Cod.

Strengthening the Business and Civic Community

The integration of the Falmouth and Cape Cod Chambers reflects a growing trend among Chambers and economic development organizations across the country. As businesses shift course to meet changing economic conditions, Chambers of Commerce and other nonprofits are exploring regionalization, strategic partnerships, and other new structures to better meet community needs.

“This affiliation marks the start of an exciting new chapter in the Falmouth Chamber’s 111 year history,” said Michael Kasparian, President of the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce. “In partnership with the Cape Cod Chamber, the Falmouth Chamber will continue to serve as the community connection for Falmouth, supporting local businesses and residents, while expanding opportunities for member visibility and advocacy.”

The Falmouth and Cape Cod Chamber affiliation presents a unique opportunity to maintain the local focus and regional identity of the Falmouth Chamber while ensuring the strength and sustainability of both organizations long-term.

“By joining forces, the Falmouth and Cape Cod Chambers are creating a stronger, more coordinated voice for the region’s business community,” said Paul Niedzwiecki, CEO of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. “This merger allows us to better support our members and build a more connected, resilient Cape Cod economy.”
