Current and future leaders collaborating for the betterment of Cape Cod
Cape Cod, MA – Leadership Cape Cod is proud to announce the launch of the 34th annual Community Leadership Institute (CLI) and the Class of 2026. From January through June, 25 professionals and emerging leaders from across Cape Cod will participate in 11 immersive sessions, engaging with prominent leaders in business, healthcare, education, government, social services, the arts, and more.
In addition to in-depth session learning, participants will collaborate on community service projects designed to benefit local nonprofit organizations and strengthen the Cape Cod community.
“The energy and enthusiasm from this year’s class has been incredible right from the start,” said Jacob Stapledon, Chair of Leadership Cape Cod. “We have an outstanding lineup of speakers and sessions planned for 2026, and the excitement in the room at our recent orientation at Alberto’s Restaurant really set the tone. It was a great evening of connection and conversation, and we’re thrilled about what this group will accomplish together.”
The Community Leadership Institute (CLI) is Leadership Cape Cod’s flagship program and has been offered annually since 1992. Over more than three decades, CLI has graduated more than 800 leaders who have gone on to serve the region as elected officials, nonprofit and business executives, entrepreneurs, educators, healthcare professionals, and members of the media. The program provides a comprehensive look at the issues shaping Cape Cod and the Islands, while encouraging participants to identify their role in creating meaningful, community-driven solutions.
Participants will also complete a community service project benefiting a local nonprofit organization. A commencement ceremony celebrating the Class of 2026 will be held in June.
Leadership Cape Cod is currently seeking community partners and sponsors for the 2026 Community Leadership Institute. Session sponsorships are available for $500 and provide meaningful visibility with a highly engaged audience of emerging and established Cape Cod leaders, along with recognition across program materials, events, and communications throughout the CLI season.
