HYANNIS, MA — A small card with a big mission is making its debut on Cape Cod. Love Live Local, the nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the Cape’s small business community, has officially launched the Love Local Card—a year-round perks program that rewards shoppers for supporting the Cape’s independent businesses.
The card, now available for purchase at lovelivelocal.com/card and at the Love Local Shop in downtown Hyannis, gives cardholders exclusive access to discounts and special offers at dozens of locally owned businesses across Cape Cod—from boutiques and bookstores to coffee shops and wellness studios.
“This is more than a discount card,” says Jen Villa, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Love Live Local. “It’s a community-powered tool that helps shift dollars back into our local economy—one coffee, one appointment, one gift at a time.”
Over 40 local businesses have already signed on as Perk Providers, offering deals like 10% off retail purchases, complimentary items with purchases, and free consultations. Cardholders can use the perks as often as they like throughout the year, encouraging repeat visits and deeper relationships between consumers and small businesses. Current Perk Providers can be found at https://lovelivelocal.com/directory, with new businesses signing on to offer perks every day.
The card was unveiled at a launch party at Devil’s Purse Brewing Company, which also celebrated the release of the 2025 Love Local Field Guide and a new collaborative Devil’s Purse + Love Live Local brew.
Love Live Local hopes the card will inspire Cape Codders—and visitors—to shop with intention and understand the ripple effect of their spending.
“If every household on Cape Cod shifted just 10% of their spending to local businesses, we’d generate $112 million in economic impact,” says Villa. “The Love Local Card is one way we make that shift easier—and more fun.”
The card costs $25 and is valid through December 31, 2025. Proceeds support Love Live Local’s programs, including small business grants, free educational workshops, and the popularLove Local Fest series. Learn more at www.lovelivelocal.com
