Harwich Port, Mass., March 17, 2026  Outer Cape Health Services (OCHS), a federally qualified community health center serving the outermost towns of Cape Cod, announced that its Wellfleet Health Center has been recognized by Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP) for delivering top patient experience in its primary care services, placing the organization among the highest-ranked practices in the state in this category.

The MHQP Patient Experience Awards are an annual program that recognizes community health centers and other primary care practices across Massachusetts that perform at the highest levels in the organization’s statewide Patient Experience Survey. The survey measures how well practices deliver core elements of primary care, including communication with patients, access to care, coordination of services, and the trust patients place in their clinicians.

“This recognition reflects the commitment our clinicians and staff bring to patient care every day,” said Dr. Marie Constant, Chief Medical Officer of OCHS. “Patient experience is more than a single appointment. It’s about the relationships we build, the time we take to listen, and making sure everyone who walks through our doors feels respected and supported.”

MHQP conducts the only statewide survey measuring patient experience in primary care practices across Massachusetts. Rather than asking about general satisfaction, the survey asks patients to report what actually happened during their care – from scheduling appointments to interactions with clinicians and staff – to provide a detailed picture of how practices are performing in areas that matter most to patients and families.

“Primary care is the foundation of a healthy community,” said Dr. Damian Archer, CEO of OCHS. “This recognition reflects the hard work of our staff and the trust our patients place in us. On the Lower and Outer Cape, accessible, high-quality care isn’t just convenient – it’s essential to keeping our communities healthy and connected.”
