Record-high sponsorship for event now at $306,000, surpassing goal

MARSHFIELD, MA, ISSUED SEPTEMBER 2, 2025… Save the date for Thursday, October 9. when Road to Responsibility (RTR), one of the region’s largest and most successful nonprofit organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will host its 37th Annual Making Lives Better Gala from 6 to 9 p.m. at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy.

As in year’s past, the annual mission-driven event will feature a cocktail reception, formal dinner, and mobile bidding auction and dinner. A powerful mission story will be showcased, celebrating the transformative impact RTR has had on individuals over the past 37 years.

The evening will be hosted by acclaimed journalists Liam Martin and Jackie Bruno, both of whom transitioned from distinguished careers in television news to leadership roles at Newsmaker Marketing, a Boston-based public relations and marketing agency specializing in helping businesses share their stories directly to targeted audiences. The agency was founded by Bruno, the agency’s CEO, who launched the firm with a vision for media-savvy brand strategy. Martin serves as partner and Chief Marketing Officer, bringing his broadcast expertise to the team.

To date, 40 businesses and organizations have signed up as gala sponsors, bringing sponsorship totals to a record-high $306,000, surpassing the initial goal set at $300,000. Additional sponsorship opportunities remain available.
