The Cape Cod Foundation Launches Annual Scholarship Program

South Yarmouth—The Cape Cod Foundation has launched its annual Scholarship Program. The organization administers almost 100 different scholarship funds for seniors graduating from high school, current college students, and adults planning to pursue degrees and certificate programs. Last year, the Foundation awarded more than $900,000 in scholarship support to 153 local students.

The Cape Cod Foundation is also seeking volunteers with diverse life experiences, outlooks, local knowledge, and a passion to support Cape Codders pursuing their post-secondary educational goals to participate in the scholarship review process. The scholarship process for the Cape Cod Association, a partner of The Cape Cod Foundation, has also begun. Last year, it awarded $503,500 in heritage-based scholarships to 337 students. Criteria, deadlines, and application requirements for these scholarships are online at capecodassoc.org.

 

 

The Cape Cod Foundation is a community foundation whose mission is to build permanent charitable resources for community betterment through informed grantmaking and civic leadership. It was founded in 1989 and is celebrating its 35th Anniversary this year. Since inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $100 million in scholarships to local students and grants to nonprofit organizations.
