The Chatham Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation Awards $43,900 in Grants to Nonprofit Organizations Serving the Community

SOUTH YARMOUTH –During its Annual Grant Cycle, The Chatham Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation recently awarded $43,900 in grants to 11 nonprofit organizations serving the community.

“This year’s funding will help support critical programs and services for many members of our community: veterans, seniors, at-risk youth, and those with disabilities or serious medical conditions,” said Henry Holden, Chair of The Chatham Fund. “Grants will also support individuals and families needing assistance with basic needs, including food, housing, heating, and transportation.”

The recipients are:

AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, $5,000
To support ASGCC’s overdose awareness, prevention & NARCAN response program


Behavioral Health Innovators, Inc., $3,500

To support the Positive Alternatives for Student Support (PASS) Program for Chatham residents

Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center, $5,000
To support Chatham veterans with free, year-round, round-trip transportation to life-sustaining medical appointments.

To support vocational skill-building at Chatham Farmers Market

Cape Wellness Collaborative, $4,400

To support the Wellness Care Program that provides cancer patients access to integrative therapies

Colorful Kidz. Inc., $1,500
To complete a cosmetic room makeover for a child in need of a bedroom transformation

First Night Chatham, $2,500
To support First Night Chatham, a family-friendly New Year’s Eve event

Friends of The Chatham Council on Aging, $1,500
To support the “Chatham Better Together” program that helps Chatham residents over 70 who live alone.

Homeless Prevention Council, Inc., $7,500
To support housing and financial stability for Chatham residents through personalized case management

Lower Cape Outreach Council, Inc., $7,500
To support financial assistance for basic human needs of Chatham residents


The Family Table Collaborative, $1,500

To support making prepared meals for Chatham Congregate Housing

Since The Chatham Fund was established in 2013 to build a permanent endowment for the town through private donations, it has awarded $537,745 in grants to nonprofit organizations enhancing the quality of life in the community.
