HYANNIS, MA — WE CAN’s PathMaker Program is a mentoring program that has the potential to be life-altering for women who are looking for a safe place for support, personal exploration, and growth.
Currently, WE CAN is about to embark upon its 19th year of offering the Program and is seeking both mentors and mentees (PathMakers) for its 2025-26 group. Because of the popularity of the program, WE CAN is offering two simultaneous groups.
The PathMaker Program uses a strengths-based approach to self-advocacy empowerment that helps women learn to love and believe in themselves so they can accomplish their goals.
Each PathMakers (mentee) selects a mentoring partner (mentor) and together, they work toward accomplishing a personal goal that the PathMaker has selected for herself. For nine months, September through May, they attend a monthly group meeting in Hyannis hosted and facilitated by WE CAN. All participants engage in discussions on select topics ranging from self-compassion to understanding personal strengths, to creating a vision for the future.
PathMakers and their mentors also meet outside of the group meetings to continue their work on the PathMaker’s goal. At the end of the program, each PathMaker emerges with new connections, new tools and resources, and a renewed confidence.
“From the first day we met for coffee until the last, my mentor was fully present with me in a way that I have rarely experienced. I felt seen and heard and fully accepted,” said one mentee.
If this is something that you would like to learn more about, please register to attend a PathMaker Information Session in person or on Zoom.
