Tickets and Sponsorship Opportunities Available for 4th Annual “Help Us Squash Hunger” Event
WEYMOUTH, ROCKLAND, MA ISSUED SEPTEMBER 15, 2025… The Weymouth Food Pantry will hold its 4th Annual Wicked Weymouth Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, October 18, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Tufts Library, 46 Broad Street in Weymouth. The organization’s principal fundraising event helps to support its mission to end hunger in Weymouth.
Get ready for a spine-tingling adventure across Weymouth! The Weymouth Food Pantry team will guide attendees along eerie tales and historic (and yes, a little creepy) locations around town. Along the way, participants will complete new challenges, hunt for hidden items, visit sponsor spots, track down QR codes to rack up points, and keep an eye out for the Golden Pumpkin.
A free Kids Hunt sponsored by Lorusso-Bristol Stone Corp. will kick off the event; children aged 8 and under are welcome. In addition to a scavenger hunt around the library, young ones will also enjoy a number of fun activities. No registration is required for the Kids Hunt; children are encouraged to wear costumes.
Individuals or teams of two or more players can sign up for the hunt at a cost of $20 per person – or $15 per person if registered by September 18th. To register, please visit https://secure.qgiv.com/event/wwsh2025/.
At the end of the hunt, teams will gather at the library where prizes will be awarded for Most Funds Raised (Individual & Team), Highest Hunt Points Earned, Best Team Costume, and Best Social Media Post, all toward the goal of coming together to fill the new “Feed the Wey” food pantry bus (#FillTheBusWeymouth).
The Weymouth Food Pantry invites local and regional businesses and organizations to support the annual fundraiser. For more information on sponsorship opportunities (including a Golden Pumpkin sponsorship), please visit https://secure.qgiv.com/event/wwsh2025/ or reach out to Jennifer O’Brien at jennifer@weymouthfoodpantry.org.
“This spirited event brings people together to explore Weymouth and make a real difference,” said Pamela Denholm, executive director of the Weymouth Food Pantry. “It’s a fun and engaging way to support our neighbors in need.”
