Honoree Name: Ashley Mason
Company: Dash of Social
Career background / highlights: I reached her first 6-figure year in business when I was only 21 and took it full-time once graduating from college. That was always my dream, but I always doubted I could truly do it!
Community commitment: I'm a board member of the Brockton Visiting Nurse Association (BVNA) and the South Shore Young Professionals, and I'm a member of the Board of Trustees for the Middleboro Public Library. Additionally, I guest speak often for many colleges throughout the country.
Favorite professional moment: Less than six months after graduating, my alma mater Stonehill College asked me to be a TEDx speaker for their TEDx event on the "Challenge of Change" in October 2019. It was an unreal moment!
Who is your role model / mentor? My parents inspire me the most, as both have taught me the value of hard work. My mom is the reason why I pursued my dreams, and her dad is the reason why I keep going.
What mistake has taught you the most? My biggest mistake is not following my gut just because I wanted the experience, the project, or the money! I've learned (the hard way!) that if something doesn't feel right, it isn't right.
What one book has impacted your life? You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero is a game changer. It has completely changed the way I view money, manifestation, and the power of believing that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to.
What is your superpower? Waking up early! My body automatically wakes me up at around 4 am, and the early start helps me to get the most out of my day.
Where can you be found on the weekends? I love reading a good book, hitting the beach, and trying different breweries! Enjoying bar pizza is also a must.
