Cape Codders will usher in summer with the 16th Annual Quahog Day ceremony on June 20th from 12 – 2 PM. The event will take place at The Chart Room overlooking the picturesque Cataumet Marina. WBZ-TV Chief Meteorologist Eric Fisher will once again emcee this year’s festivities. Celebrated on the first day of summer each year since 2009, Quahog Day has become a rite of passage into the glorious summer season for Cape Codders. The Cape’s beloved mascot, Doug the Quahog, will give his much-anticipated prediction for how many beach days lie ahead. Doug will whisper his forecast to Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce CEO Paul Niedzwiecki, who will translate it for the masses.
