Coffee Q&A: Samantha Gray & the Canal Bridges

December 11, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us every Friday (except First Fridays) for a casual coffee chat with a guest from our technology and business community.

Samantha Gray, Lead Interpretive Ranger
US Army Corps of Engineers
10 AM Friday, December 11
Online via Zoom

Turning aside from pandemics and other global 2020 issues, we’re taking a fresh perspective on the Cape Cod bridge story.  We are all familiar with the status of the bridges and the various opinions about their future fate.  Here to help us take a step back and see how we got here is US Army Corps of Engineers Park Ranger Samantha Gray.  Samantha will lead us on a tour of the history, features, and operations of the canal and the bridges, and will discuss the Army Corps’ relationship with the Cape and its infrastructure.  Please join us for this rare opportunity to discuss the past, present, and future of the bridges direct from the Army Corps’ Lead Interpretive Ranger at the Cape Cod Canal.

Samantha Gray is an Interpretive Park Ranger with the US Army Corps of Engineers at the Cape Cod Canal. She has worked at the Canal for more than 20 years where she manages the Canal’s Interpretive Services and Outreach Programs, as well as the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center in Sandwich. As an interpreter she reveals and relates the Canal’s unique history, features and operation to people of all ages. She earned her degree in Conservation of Natural Resources from Long Island University.
