Enterprising Women is the premier women’s business and networking event in the region, bringing together varied experts to provide advice and inspiration in a hands-on setting. This event is largely made possible by the generosity and support of Cape Cod 5.

EVENT OVERVIEW:

  • Held at the Cape Codder – Emerald Room.
  • A great afternoon of discussions planned along with interactive networking moderated by CCYP!
  • A delicious lunch will be served and a cash bar will be available during our networking session.
  • All registrants will be entered to win raffle prizes from local businesses.

PANEL DISCUSSIONS:

Panel 1: Lessons Learned: Is it Time for a Change? 

People from all walks of life are changing careers, roles, or leaving Corporate America entirely to start their own business. In this panel we will speak with four women who discuss how they knew it was time for a change.

Panel 2: Traits of the Enterprising Woman

In this panel, we’ll have a short discussion with Q&A from mid-career professionals and CEOs. The panel will discuss the skills and traits needed to become an aspiring executive, grow a small business, and expand a nonprofit.

Martha R.A. Fields

Martha R. A. Fields grew up in Okinawa, Japan and considers herself a “Citizen of the USA & the World.” She is an internationally renowned author, consultant, inspirational speaker, and a former Harvard Medical School Affiliated-Hospital Vice-President. Martha is the author of eight books. Her latest is titled, The Okinawa in me: FINALLY Finding my IKIGAI (Reason for Being!) She is currently president and CEO of OKI ME, LLC headquartered in historic Boston’s waterfront. Their mission is to “Help People World-Wide Find Life & Work Success!” Her impressive global client list includes Fortune 500 Companies, Ivy-League Schools, Healthcare & Financial Organizations, & NGOs.

Abigail Field

Abigail is currently Chief Executive Officer for the Cape Wellness Collaborative. Abby lives in Brewster with her three children, Ruth, Andrew, and Meghan. Abigail is also a classical pianist and piano teacher. Abby studied with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as well as the New York Institute of Photography. In her free time, you will find Abby sailing, camping and exploring the great outdoors.

Noëlle Pina

Noëlle is currently the Chief of Staff for the Cape Cod Chamber. Noëlle moved to Cape Cod from Nassau, Bahamas. She studied public relations at Florida Southern College and completed her master’s degree at West Virginia University in integrated marketing communications. She worked in Nassau with many well-known U.S. consumer brands, assisting and directing their marketing strategy to connect with Bahamians.

Sara Kohls

Sara is an litigation attorney in Yarmouth Port, specializing in criminal defense and civil litigation matters including probate litigation and will contests, condominium and landlord/tenant matters, contract disputes, guardianship and conservatorships, and appellate matters. She was named a 2021 Rising Star by Massachusetts Super Lawyers and was named a Cape & Plymouth Business Magazine 40 Under 40 winner in 2017. Sara currently serves as the board president of Cape Cod Young Professionals, as well as on the executive committee of the Barnstable County Bar Association and is a member of the Town of Yarmouth Finance Committee.
