KINGSTON, PLYMOUTH & CARVER, MA, ISSUED NOVEMBER 15, 2024 … Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth (HFHGP) is thrilled to announce that the Hearts & Hammers Gala, held on Friday November 1, 2024, achieved record-breaking success, raising over $104,000 to support HFHGP’s mission of building affordable, safe housing for families in need. The event, hosted at the beautiful Jones River Trading Post, was an unforgettable night of unity, generosity, and community spirit.
The Hearts & Hammers Gala brought together an incredible mix of sponsors, donors, guests, and volunteers who contributed to a night filled with joy, purpose, and impact. Guests were treated to live music by Lars Chappell, stunning floral arrangements by Flair Floral, and a spirited and fun live auction with auctioneer Paul Maglio. A heartfelt speech by Marcus, HFHGP’s most recent Habitat homeowner, who moved into his newly renovated home in Plymouth with his wife Rachel and his two daughters over the summer, highlighted the transformative power of HFHGP’s work in the community, inspiring attendees to generously support the organization’s cause.
Amy Belmore, executive director of HFHGP, expressed deep gratitude for the community’s generosity. “We are incredibly humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support we received at the Hearts & Hammers Gala,” said Belmore. “The funds raised will enable our work building and repairing homes, making a tangible difference in the lives of families right here in greater Plymouth. Thank you to every sponsor, donor, and guest for helping us reach this milestone and for championing our mission of providing decent, affordable housing for all.”
HFHGP extends special thanks to its top sponsors, whose generosity helped make this event a success:

Habitat is currently in the midst of a complete rehab on a two-bedroom home at 597 Wareham Rd in Plymouth. Thanks to dozens of volunteers, each week brings new progress toward a completed home for HFHGP’s recently selected homeowner, Jackie, and her daughter. HFHGP is excited to continue work on this meaningful project and looks forward to welcoming Jackie and her daughter into their new home.
