Position Overview: This is a career opportunity with an entrée into the Insurance and Risk Management World, which is the nation’s third largest industry (its unemployment rate is virtually nonexistent at 1.7 percent). As an inside Account Manager, you will help individuals and families obtain the right insurance protection and build a long-term relationship serving your clients. For example, when a client buys a new home, automobile, boat, recreational vehicle, expands their family or other life changing event, you will help them protect their assets and family by advising and providing your clients with appropriate insurance protection. You will build relationships in our local communities with builders, lawyers, realtors, mortgage originators, bankers and other centers of influence who can refer business. You will be supported by professional coaching, mentoring, and continuing education programs. Your income is contingent on your ability to effectively service and expand your clientele base while developing an excellent, professional reputation. Your compensation is a combination of a guaranteed base income plus uncapped new and renewal commissions.

The most successful account managers will diligently work to become a product knowledge expert and cultivate that ability to provide excellent sales and service to their clients, prospects, and community network. They will have a positive, friendly attitude, aptitude, and conduct themselves in such a professional manner that others (both client and colleague) enjoy working with them. Over time, after demonstrating ability they may have an opportunity to become an owner in the Agency.

  • Mission: Helping clients to reduce risk and protect their assets.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Average first year earnings including incentives $40,000 - $60,000.

Skills and Qualifications will include:

  • Associate’s Degree/Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent)
  • Sales Aptitude – enjoys working in an incentivized environment
  • Desire to sell/service, develop and retain a clientele book of business (long term relationships)
  • Customer oriented, may have prior hospitality or sales experience
  • Net-worker - desire to get involved in the community, and develop centers of influence
  • Proficient with technology, ability to easily learn various software applications (and can type)
  • Can easily organize and prioritize daily action list
  • Can efficiently transition between workflows, deal with interruptions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
