Career background / highlights: After graduating college, I found my way into the accounting industry and haven’t looked back. I have spent the last 14 years with DePaola, Begg, & Associates, PC. Since starting at DBA I have been able to earn my CPA license and also complete my master’s degree.
Community commitment: Cape Cod Young Professionals Board, Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee; Estate Planning Council of Cape Cod Board Treasurer, Finance Committee of the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce.
Favorite professional moment: The pandemic was so hard to navigate for many of our clients, so I would say that most memorable have been all the “thank you’s” and the, “don’t know how we’d do it without yous” that just reaffirmed the value we provide to our clients and the amount of trust they put into us.
Who is your role model / mentor? I have been so lucky to have so many both in my education and profession, but would have to go with my Mom on this one. She has been able to make such a difference in the lives of all the people she comes across it is impossible to keep track.
What mistake has taught you the most?
Getting out of the “analysis paralysis” stage, and just knowing to trust your gut with big decisions, deep down you know the right call to make.
What one book has impacted your life? “A People’s History of the United States” by Howard Zinn.
What is your superpower? Seeing the forest through the trees.
Where can you be found on the weekends? Outside for certain. After being inside all week I like to make it up by enjoying being outside with my wife and son. Most recently, I have taken up the sport of disc golf, so you will see me at the course often.
