40 Under 40 Class of 2021!

Honoree Name: Matt Mulligan
Company: Hawk Visuals, Hanover
Career background / highlights: I graduated in 2015 with a master's degree in Architecture and was able to work for a developer in Plymouth designing residential architecture. It was extremely rewarding to work with homeowners as they chose their options for their custom homes.
Community commitment:

Around the holiday season, I volun- teer my time at my local church to help with gifts for families in need. I also offer our photography to local nonprofits who need marketing materials to generate interest in upcoming events.

Favorite professional moment: My favorite professional moment was early on in my career at Hawk Visuals. I was able to film with a really fun client in Boston that took us on a private tour of Fenway Park as well as a workout with Tom Brady's trainer, Alex Guerrero.
Who is your role model / mentor? I don't have one particular role model in my life, but get inspiration from those around me. My friends, family, employees and clients all inspire me each day to work harder and make them proud.
What mistake has taught you the most? When I first started Hawk Visuals, I took on too much work by myself and it hurt my production quality and output. Since then, I've learned that in order to grow, I needed to hire and delegate to people that I trust.
What one book has impacted your life? “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter helped me understand the value of financial independence at a young age and I still refer to the book today.
What is your superpower? Having energy in the morning! I wake up ready to tackle the day.
Where can you be found on the weekends? Golfing, fishing or exploring new restaurants with my wife.
