Career background / highlights: I started my law firm 2.5 years ago because I realized that there was a huge need for affordable legal services in the family law field.
Community commitment: I volunteer for WE CAN in Harwich and the Lawyer of the Day Program at the Barnstable Probate and Family Court. I'm an active member of the Cape Cod Times Diversity Advisory Board. I am consulting with the Cape Cod Foundation to start a Women and Girls Fund on Cape Cod.
Favorite professional moment: In 2020 and 2021, I was recognized as a "Rising Star" from the Super Lawyers organization. No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in Massachusetts are recognized in this category.
Who is your role model / mentor? My mom is my biggest role model. She started her own business when I was in college, and she always encouraged me to chart my own way.
What mistake has taught you the most? When I first started practicing law, I thought no one would take me seriously if I didn't have a traditional brick-and-mortar office. However, all of my clients are confident in my virtual approach. After COVID, everyone was comfortable with virtual/Zoom meetings.
What one book has impacted your life? “The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison
What is your superpower? I've never lost a game of Connect Four—if that counts!
Where can you be found on the weekends? I'm usually spending time with my family or reading a book.
