KINGSTON, QUINCY, TAUNTON, BROCKTON, NEW BEDFORD, FALL RIVER, WHITMAN MA, ISSUED DECEMBER 13, 2024… NeighborWorks® Housing Solutions (NHS; www.nhsmass.org), the leading housing service provider in southern Massachusetts, is delighted to announce that Director of Home Ownership and Housing Consumer Education Center Amanda Glennon of Whitman was the recipient of a “Rising Star” Award at the recent Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations (MACDC) annual meeting.
The Rising Star Award celebrates CDC staff or board members aged 40 or younger who have shown exceptional potential, innovation, leadership, and achievement in community development.
“What an honor to be recognized with a Rising Star Award,” said Glennon, who joined NHS in August of 2021. “I am so proud to work at NeighborWorks Housing Solutions with my outstanding team and be able to help residents in our communities access opportunity, stability, and a path forward.”
In addition to her post at NHS, Glennon is Chairperson of the Board of The Downtown Brockton Association, Treasurer of the Brockton Housing Partnership, and sits on the Collaborative Selection Committee of the Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA).

The 2024 MACDC annual meeting held in Worcester brought together more than 250 community leaders, advocates, and partners to celebrate achievements, share ideas, and drive collective impact.
