Career background / highlights: My professional career started as a proprietary trader while undertaking my MBA at Bryant University. After completing my graduate degree, I worked for a number of asset management companies in Boston and California. A second generation Cape Codder, it was a lifelong dream to live and work on Cape Cod. Eight years ago that dream came to fruition.
Community commitment: Since 2016 I have been a member of the board with Barnstable Land Trust in various capacities including most recently past treasurer. Over the last 30-plus years, Barnstable Land Trust has protected more than 1,100 acres of open space in the Town of Barnstable. My further involvement in the community includes various past volunteer activities including Barnstable High School Mock Interviewer, Meals on Wheels volunteer and Dream Day Cape Cod BUILD volunteer.
Favorite professional moment: My first paycheck. To this day I have never felt wealthier!
Who is your role model / mentor? My parents, who have always instilled the belief in a strong work ethic. No quote more accurately reflects their belief than “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” (Thomas Edison)
What mistake has taught you the most? That time waits for no one.
What one book has impacted your life? “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie.
What is your superpower? Perseverance, but I wish I could fly!
Where can you be found on the weekends? In a bathing suit with my wife chasing after our two boys on Sandy Neck.
