Career background / highlights: I have been a healthcare leader on Cape Cod for the last 16 years, most recently as director of Public Health and Patient Care Transitions through the COVID-19 pandemic, working alongside an amazing team of public health nurses and contact tracers. I am deeply committed to public health, diversity, equity and healthcare access. I hold a bachelor of arts in Business and a master of science in Healthcare Administration. I am also a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator (CHPCA). I am the Wellfleet Site Director and Director of Women’s Health.
Community commitment: Former coach for the Dennis-Yarmouth Soccer Club, Rett Syndrome Research Trust, volunteer for Family Table Collaborative, Meals on Wheels, my kids’ schools. I try to involve my family in as many local charity 5Ks as possible.
Favorite professional moment: Handing in my master's thesis as a busy working mom and healthcare director.
Who is your role model / mentor? Personally, my mother, who showed me at a very young age that nothing is impossible. Professionally, Ann-Marie Peckham, VNA of Cape Cod CEO, who led me to where I am today.
What mistake has taught you the most? I make a lot of mistakes, they make for some of my best, funniest stories! Being able to learn from them and laugh at yourself is the key.
What one book has impacted your life? “Daring Greatly” by Brene Brown.
What is your superpower? Connection. I connect with all people and bring laughter and joy to stressful situations.
Where can you be found on the weekends? On the soccer field watching my kids play and husband coach; walking the trails or beach with my family and two dogs.
