Describe in detail the culture of the company and a recent experience supporting that.
We are a family-run business. As employees we are all-inclusive there is no such thing as "that's not my job". We pick up the slack and cover all positions to ensure we are always giving our clients the absolute best experience possible.
Through open communication, support, education and on the job training White Wood Kitchens is both encouraging and supportive of all employees regardless of the position. We have always had the philosophy that no one position is more important than the other.
It truly does take each and every team member to achieve this level of success. We win as a team!
Has the company/organization offered rewards or incentives for great customer service or a positive employee attitude?
White Wood Kitchens is consistently generous with milestone incentives. We are rewarded with both monetary bonuses and special team-building "field trips".
All team members are compensated and supported regardless of the job description. Whether you are a laborer or a top salesperson. When we succeed we succeed ad a team!
Does the organization offer training for levels of advancement? Is there room for growth?
White Wood employees are encouraged to expand their work knowledge through company-wide training and individual classes and seminars.
As a White Wood employee, I am always confident that if there is a class or a seminar I wish to attend our owners will back me 100%.
Employees are encouraged to submit grant requests to Management for additional training or education. These company grants are almost always approved.
Does this organization promote from within, or hire outside when looking for employees?
Promoting from within is common practice at White Wood Kitchens. Through additional education and mentoring of team members are encouraged and challenged to take on more responsibility in all roles.
We believe that moving up in the organization is best practice whenever possible.
Provide an example of how this organization has recently gone above and beyond for an employee, team or client/customer.
Just this week White Wood Kitchen employees were treated to an evening of Axe throwing at House- Axe Throwing followed by dinner at Cork and Table in Plymouth. 17 White Wood Kitchens employees were treated to this fun event. It is always such a great opportunity for all employees to get together and meet in a fun out-of-work atmosphere.
Employees have been treated to everything from trips to Nantucket to weekends in Boston. As an organization, we look forward to quality time outside of the workplace. Spouses and families are often invited which adds to our family atmosphere.
Communication is key, how effective is the organization at communication with their employees and/or client/customer? *
Communication is a core principle behind White Wood Kitchens success. Sometimes we consider ourselves over communicators if that is possible. Whether it be with employee's , build partners, vendors or clients we pride ourselves on open transparent communication at all times.
Our owners have invested in a software communication system where all employees are required to post daily. This keeps all members of our time updated on ongoing projects at all levels of the process. Keeping all Team Members in loop of ongoing projects is imperative in running smooth cohesive jobsites and projects.
