110 Fitness, located in Rockland, the largest wellness center in the world for people with Parkinson’s Disease, is teaming up with the Davis Phinney Foundation to raise awareness, funds, and holiday cheer for the Parkinson’s community.

The Davis Phinney Foundation, based in Louisville, Colo., helps people with Parkinson’s live well today.

On Monday, Dec. 13, from 7 to 8 p.m. 110 Fitness is hosting the foundation’s “Feel The Beat” event. Brett Miller, Davis Phinney Foundation Ambassador and founder and owner of 110 Fitness, will lead the Parkinson’s community in a drumming workout (and singing!) to holiday tunes.

Miller will start the event by giving a quick presentation on the benefits of drumming and Parkinson’s. After that, he and 20 of his members with Parkinson’s, along with staff and volunteers, will showcase their drumming and singing skills to classic holiday music. Anyone around the world can watch and participate via Zoom.

110 Fitness is also opening its doors to the local community. Attendees can join in on the fun for $2 admission. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Davis Phinney Foundation. Attendees can watch the presentation and performance and then enjoy holiday treats and refreshments after.
