$230,000 Awarded to 26 Cape Cod Non-Profit Organizations by the Palmer and Jane D. Davenport Foundation

(SOUTH YARMOUTH, MA) – The Palmer & Jane D. Davenport Foundation is pleased to announce that $230,000 has been awarded to 26 Cape Cod non-profit organizations to fund missions ranging from cancer wellness and treatment, youth enrichment programs, support for Cape Cod veterans and more.

The mission of The Palmer and Jane D. Davenport Foundation is to improve the health, welfare, and quality of life for people living on Cape Cod and the Islands.

The following organizations have received funding:

  • Penikese Island School Inc. – $10,000 to fund School Trip Discovery Days
  • Belonging to Each Other, Inc. – $5,000 to fund Emergency/Short Term Motel Placements & Supplemental Meals
  • Sharing Kindness, Inc. – $5,000 to fund The Healing House
  • Gosnold Behavioral Health – $10,000 to fund the Gosnold School-Based Counseling Program
  • Cape Cod Council of Churches – $10,000 to fund a refrigerated van for food access
  • Champ Homes – $5,000 for Transitional Housing Assistance Program
  • Cape Cod Times Needy Fund – $5,000 for Basic Needs for Vulnerable Residents
  • Behavioral Health Innovators – $3,000 for Positive Alternatives for School Support
  • Cape Wellness Collaborative – $10,000 for Integrative Oncology Care for Cape Cod Residents
  • Community Health Center of Cape Cod – $5,000 for Addressing Substance Use Disorders through Recovery Coaching Program
  • Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands, Inc. – $5,000 for Meals-On-Wheels
  • Kennedy-Donovan Center, Inc. – $2,500 for Family Support Prom & Swim Lessons/Memberships
  • Massachusetts Military Support Foundation, Inc. – $3,000 for Fuel our Mission
  • Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod – $5,000 for the Affordable Teen Program
  • Dream Day – $5,000 for All Inclusive Activities
  • Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center – $5,000 for Veteran Food Program Expansion
  • Duffy Health Center – $5,000 for the REACH Mobile Unit
  • Family Pantry of Cape Cod – $5,000 for Healthy Eating for Healthy Living
  • Harbor Health Services, Inc. – $5,000 for the Hyannis Patient Transportation Fund
  • Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation – $50,000 for the Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center in memory of JoAnn Curley
  • Harwich Historical Society – $1,000 for programming
  • The Historical Society of Old Yarmouth – $1,000 for programming
  • Cape Abilities – $15,000 for programming
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod – $3,500 for the Big 3 Fish Tournament
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod – $1,000 for the Little Big Fish Tournament
  • The Cape Cod Foundation – $50,000 for Seaside Le Mans

The mission of The Palmer & Jane D. Davenport Foundation is to broaden public access to the highest level of quality healthcare for residents and visitors and to foster opportunities for the creation and implementation of new technology acquisitions or facility expansion projects from regional health, social and human service agencies, or providers.

Organizations that receive funding are encouraged to leverage the grants to produce meaningful results and drive innovation that will complement comprehensive results.
