Pop Up Street’s mission is to create a platform that empowers and promotes local creatives, providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents and connect with their community. Our vision is to foster a dynamic marketplace where creativity thrives, and where individuals can explore, discover, and support the rich tapestry of talent within our city.
At Pop Up Street, we believe in providing practical support for artists, chefs, and artisans. Through our events and workshops, creatives will have the opportunity to conduct feasibility studies, test their products, and receive valuable feedback from the community. This hands-on approach allows them to refine their craft and business strategies, ultimately helping them to succeed in the competitive market landscape. Through this we will help these creatives to raise funds to scale their products that we get into more local stores and businesses.
One of the key initiatives of Pop Up Street is the 15% Local pledge. We aim to rally local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders to commit to dedicating 15% of their shelf space to local artists, chefs, and artisans. By doing so, we aim to create more visibility and accessibility for these talented individuals, fostering a culture of support and collaboration within our local economy.
The launch event on April 6th will feature a diverse range of vendors, live performances, interactive workshops, and delicious culinary delights from local chefs. Attendees can expect to immerse themselves in a bustling atmosphere filled with creativity, innovation, and community spirit. The event is free to attend but guests can buy a ticket ($30) that will allow you to get a sample of all the various kinds of food that we will have (without having to purchase everything A la carte style).
