Joshua Skolnick named Director of Employment for LIFE residents

LIFE Cape Cod, Living Independently Forever Inc., has introduced Joshua Skolnick as its newly hired Director of Employment for LIFE residents.
Skolnick has a BA from S.U.N.Y. in New York, and a Masters Degree in Special Education from New York University. He comes to LIFE with 25 years of experience assisting communities to be inclusive, and working with nonprofit organizations to support adults with learning disabilities to have full and rich lives. He has an extensive background helping to assist individuals to develop appropriate social skills and to become gainfully employed.
Skolnick comes to LIFE from Heartshare Human Services of New York in Brooklyn, NY, where he began his work as the Program Coordinator in 2012, and became the Director of Employment and Transition Services. During that time Skolnick also worked as a Consultant from September 2007 – December 2012 serving clients that included: Job Path inc., Catholic Charities Disabilities Services in Albany, Lexington School/Center for the Deaf, and New York Families for Autistic Children. He previously served for several years as the Director of Individual Services at the Goodwill Industries in New York.
Skolnick and his wife recently purchased a home in Harwich, and are looking forward to their new adventure living on Cape Cod.
