Briteway Carwash Raises $17,000 For Marshfield Boys And Girls Club

There were far more treats than tricks this year, as Briteway Carwash continued a popular Vercollone family tradition of teaming up with the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club to raise funds through a Halloween fundraiser.

Over two nights at Halloween, the Briteway Marshfield Carwash was adorned with some menacing looking pirates and other characters inside and approaching the car wash, not to mention festive seasonal decorations inside and out. Customers were encouraged to come in appropriate trick or treat attire, the price of each individual car wash was set at $20, and all proceeds from the fundraiser went to the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club. Because of an unexpected storm, the event was spread out over two nights, rather than one, and when everything was totaled, the event raised $17,000 for the club.

“The Boys and Girls Club did a great job decorating the outside, and everyone was in costume,” said Nick Vercollone, Director of Operations. “Many of our customers got into the spirit and wore them as well. The Boys and Girls Club does so much good for the community; it’s our pleasure to continue to support them with events such as these.”

Briteway Carwash operates two state-of-the-art car wash facilities, one in Norwell at 424 Washington Street (Route 53) and the other in Marshfield at 535 Plain Street (Route 139). The company has been under the ownership of the Vercollone family since its inception, and Briteway is now a third-generation family business, with brothers Nick and Chris as owners.
